Marvel’s Black Panther is nominated at the Oscars tonight for many awards including the most coveted of them all, Best Motion Picture. The award has gone to films in the past such as The Departed and The Hurt Locker but now Marvel Studios has entered the ring of potential winners of the award at tonights Oscars ceremony.
The Hollywood Reporter recently teamed up with The Morning Consult to create a poll to show who Americans want to see win various awards at tonight’s Oscars. The poll revealed that most American’s didn’t want to see the critically-acclaimed The Favourite or the box office smash Bohemian Rhapsody win Best Motion Picture. Instead, Black Panther was named as the film that most American audiences would like to see walk away with tonight’s biggest achievement.

After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king.
