Oscars 2019: Chris Evans’ Excitement Spoiled Black Panther’s Victory

Thanks to Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans, everybody knew about Black Panther‘s Oscars win before it even happened.

Black Panther earned Marvel Studios its first ever victory at the Oscars this evening. The second award won by the film, which was Best Production Design, was presented by Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans. The actor was so excited about the victory that he accidentally revealed it a bit too early.

Variety’s recent Twitter post showcased the hilarious moment,  in which Chris Evans couldn’t help but show his excitement for the incredible Oscars win. Check out the memorable moment in the post below.

Chris Evans’ own Marvel Cinematic Universe film Avengers: Infinity War is also up for an Academy Award tonight but unlike Black Panther, it isn’t nominated for Best Motion Picture. Instead, the MCU team-up movie has earned a well-deserved nomination at the Oscars for Best Visual Effects.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters in just a couple of months and it will hopefully reunite Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, with fallen Avenger T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), aka Black Panther. The movie hits theaters shortly after the Brie Larson-starring origin film Captain Marvel.
