Aquaman conquered the holiday box office when it opened in December of last year. A sequel to the hit DC film has already been given a release date of December 16, 2022. Fans have been theorizing which DC characters could appear in the sequel and, of course, many fans are hoping to see the return of the Atlantean half-brother to Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry, the treacherous King Orm, aka Ocean Master.
Patrick Wilson, who played Ocean Master in the film, recently revealed to SYFY Wire that he doesn’t know what the future holds for his Aquaman character. Check out what he had to say about the character’s possible return in the DC Extended Universe future.
“I don’t know what the future holds for Orm … You can’t kill him. He’s too important to [Arthur’s] journey … he’s a foil to [his character].”
Patrick Wilson then revealed that Ocean Master definitely won’t be the villain of the Aquaman sequel, or in any other DCEU movie for that matter.
“He’s not gonna be a main villain in another movie. I don’t think Orm ends up in Belle Reve like he does in the New 52. I assume they’re gonna keep. him in some kind of jail below the surface. If [James] wants me back, I’m certainly happy to come back.”
Aquaman doesn’t hit home video until March 26 but fans can purchase the movie to own and watch via VOD services now.
