'Wonder Woman' director Patty Jenkins reveals whether or not she would be interested in directing a Superman movie for the DC Extended Universe.
When watching Wonder Woman, it is easy to find some sequences that are pulled straight out of Donner’s Superman. For example, the scene in the alleyway with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) in disguise blocking the bullet about to strike Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and the revolving doorway are just two moments in the film that are direct tributes to the original film that starred Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent.
The influence that Donner’s film has had on all superhero films cannot go understated. In fact, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns came together to honor Donner and even discuss how Superman remains the godfather of all superhero films.
Given the critical and commercial success of Wonder Woman, many have been wondering what Jenkins has lined up next. Obviously, it is expected that she has her sights on a sequel in the near future, but would she be interested in directing a Superman movie?
