New Rumor May Reveal Whether We See Pedro Pascal’s Face In ‘The Mandalorian’

We have yet to see Pedro Pascal’s face in the images released for The Mandalorian so far and a new rumor suggests we may not in the first season.

According to Making Star Wars.net, it is very possible that we may not see Pedro Pascal’s face in the upcoming Disney+ series. According to the site’s sources, The Mandalorian will be taking the mysterious hero approach that worked for Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy. The story goes on to claim that if we see Pedro Pascal’s face in the show, it’s either being saved for a future season or for a secret moment in the first.

The fact that Disney and Lucasfilm would take such a creative direction seems rather strange. Pedro Pascal became a big star in television thanks in large part to his role as Oberyn Martell in HBO’s Game of Thrones. He went on to play Javier Peña in the Netflix television show, Narcos, and has had a number of supporting roles in films like The Wall and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Pedro Pascal also has a major part in the upcoming DC film, Wonder Woman 1984. As The Mandalorian‘s biggest star, it does seem rather odd that Lucasfilm would want to keep Pedro Pascal’s face off-camera for the duration of the series.

What do you all make of this? Do you think Lucasfilm would cast someone like Pedro Pascal in The Mandalorian and not show his face? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is a plot synopsis for The Mandalorian:

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.

The Mandalorian will be available exclusively on Disney+ in 2019.
