EXCLUSIVE: Peter Quill’s Father REVEALED!

Finally. An investigation a year in the making that got ramped up after the last Comic-Con. After I broke the news of Colin Trevorrow directing Star Wars: Episode IX, I needed to hunt something bigger. Marvel Studio’s biggest and most speculated mystery – the revelation of Peter Quill’s father – fit the bill. Marvel can’t lay out a score this big and this sexy, and not expect me to go after it.

It was a lot of fun and informative to read all the speculation pieces by other outlets. For a story of this magnitude, I took my time and gathered as many sources as I possibly could on this one. I got a total of four. They were tasked with one objective: get me a name. Nothing else. No specifics, no details, just a name. What are the chances that four individuals who don’t know each other getting such a crucial piece of information wrong? The chances are highly unlikely.

It goes without saying that this is a MASSIVE SPOILER. I made a video which you can watch below. Please be respectful of those who don’t want to know so no revealing the name of Peter Quill’s father in headlines, banners, tweets, and instagram posts. I know it’s impossible to enforce, all I can do is merely ask.

I was warned that this would be heavily denied so if Marvel comes out swinging don’t buy it. It’s expected. After all, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 is still two years out and the identity of Peter Quill’s father is a massive mystery. Again, what are the chances of four different sources being wrong. Also, the following character plays a pivotal role in the origin of another Marvel signature character getting a solo film. I suspect this was the part Matthew McConaughey recently passed on.

So without further ado… Peter Quill’s father is Mar-Vell, the Captain Marvel of the Silver Age of comics.
