‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Image Features Jack Sparrow & Newcomer

It’s a pirates’ life for Kaya Scodelario, who will be playing Carina Smyth in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie from Disney. In a new image released from the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, she is joined by Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow and it looks like they might be teaming up for some part of the film. It’s not quite clear what role she has to play in the film’s narrative, but aside from having her own agenda, it’s also most likely that she will have some sort of romance with Brenton Thwaites’ character.

Not too long ago, it was revealed that Brenton Thwaites’ character, Henry, is Will and Elizabeth’s son and he’s on a mission to help free his father from his curse of being at sea. Meanwhile, Jack Sparrow will be contending with Captain Salazar, who is played by Javier Bardem.

Below is the film’s synopsis.

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea… including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be in theaters May 26, 2017 and will also see the return of Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.
