Last week, Walt Disney Pictures released the first official trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which introduced two new characters: Henry (played by Brenton Thwaites) and the villainous Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). Surprisingly, there was no sign of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow, but we did see the fan favorite character on a “wanted” poster towards the end of the trailer.
Thanks to co-director Joachim Rønning, we now have a closer look at this awesome Jack Sparrow poster. Rønning shared a cool behind-the-scenes photo of the one-sheet on his personal Instagram page to thank everyone who watched the recently released teaser trailer, which you can watch by clicking here.
You can check out the poster below.
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.
Directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg and starring Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom, Kevin McNally, Stephen Graham, Golshifteh Farahani, Martin Klebba and Paul McCartney, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales opens in theaters on May 26, 2017.
