5 Minute ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Preview May Debut With ‘Guardians 2’

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is nearly two weeks away from hitting theaters and first reactions from critics who have seen the film have been overwhelmingly positive. Now fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean series may have one more reason to be excited for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as Trailer Track reports that a five minute preview for the fifth installment of the franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales, may debut ahead of Marvel’s highly anticipated sequel.

The British Board of Film Classification recently rated a five minute trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales which, based on the timing of this classification, Trailer Track expects will screen ahead of select screenings of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the UK.

There is no information on whether or not the preview will also be featured during North American screenings of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him.  Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

Directed by Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales stars Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush. Keira Knightley will reprise her role as Elizabeth Swann in a cameo appearance.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released in theaters on May 26, 2017.
