Pixar’s ‘Coco’: First Teaser Trailer Will Debut Tomorrow Morning

Disney and Pixar have announced that the first teaser trailer for the upcoming animated movie 'Coco' will be released tomorrow morning.

Last week, along with the release of the first poster, it was announced that audiences’ first official look at Disney and Pixar’s upcoming animated film Coco will be released this week. Now, Disney has officially confirmed via Twitter that the teaser will be released tomorrow morning.

The film is directed by Lee Unkrich, who won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for Toy Story 3. This will be the second Pixar film to be released in 2017, after Cars 3 hits theaters this summer.

Coco has been described as “love letter” to Mexico, and seeing this story be tackled by the geniuses at Pixar Animation Studios is exciting. Given their incredible technology improving as the years go by, who knows what they have in store bringing Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) to the screen.

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colourful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Character actress Renée Victor also joins the cast as Abuelita, Miguel’s grandmother.

Directed Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, Coco will feature the voice talents of Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, Gael García Bernal and Renée Victor.  Coco will be released in theaters on November 22. Meanwhile, Pixar’s upcoming Cars 3 will race into theaters on June 16.
