‘Polarity’ TV Series Optioned By Fox 21

With New York Comic-Con just around the corner, The Wrap has revealed that Fox 21 has optioned the rights to a television series based on the BOOM! Studios graphic novel series Polarity by Max Bemis and Jorge Coelho.

The pilot for the series will be directed by Max Winkler (Flower, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Winkler will also co-write the pilot alongside his partner Matt Spicer (It’s Not You It’s Me). The duo recently signed on to write Disney’s reboot of The Rocketeer.

The story revolves around a character named Timothy Woods, a bi-polar artist who suddenly discovers that he can manifest superpowers after he stops taking his meds. The adaptation will be executive produced by Ross Richie and Stephen Christy along with Josh Levy co-executive producing for BOOM!. Jason Carden is executive producing for Winkler’s Walcott Entertainment.
