'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' director Rian Johnson once again teased potential stormtrooper cameos by Prince William and Prince Harry.
Yahoo! caught up with The Last Jedi director, Rian Johnson, at Star Wars Celebration 2017 and asked him if he could share anything more concrete about the possibility.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I have no clue,” Johnson replied with a big smile on his face. Then he mimed getting a transmission through a nonexistent earpiece: “The last voice you heard…”
He chuckled again and said, “I can neither confirm nor deny.”
While certainly not an official confirmation, Johnson’s playful response suggests that there’s hope for Prince Harry and Prince William to appear as stormtroopers in his upcoming Star Wars film.
Of course, Star Wars: The Force Awakens featured a stormtrooper cameo of its own. Daniel Craig (a.k.a. James Bond) donned the armor to portray the stormtrooper Rey used her blossoming Jedi powers on to escape her restraints in Starkiller Base.
You can check out a few of the original social media posts regarding Prince Harry and Prince William’s 2016 visit to Pinewood Studios below.
So what do you think? Do you enjoy the idea of celebrity stormtrooper cameos?
