Yesterday, Netflix officially canceled The Punisher and Jessica Jones, bringing an end to the partnership between the streaming service and Marvel Television. In response to the cancellation, Ben Barnes, who portrayed Jigsaw on The Punisher, posted a message on his official Instagram in which he thanked fans for their support and expressed his love for the entire creative team behind the Marvel series:
“Thank you to everyone who tuned in for an episode or binged each season in 13 hours & for all your wonderful, supportive, funny, creative comments – I can’t read them all but I see you & appreciate every one! Loved working with this cast & crew – I miss you & gutted I don’t get to see what you had in store for a third Season!”
