‘The Punisher’ Showrunner On Characters He’d Like To See In Season 2

'The Punisher' star showrunner Steve Lightfoot reveals which characters he would like to see appear in the second season of the Marvel & Netflix series.

The Punisher introduced several new characters from the titular vigilante’s canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe including Micro and Billy Russo. Of course, fans have been speculating on which characters from the Punisher comics might appear in a potential second season of the show and showrunner Steve Lightfoot recently revealed his own picks during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Stating that there is an abundance of great characters to choose from, Lightfoot revealed that there two characters in particular whom he would like to see appear in season two:

“I haven’t even thought about season two … but one of the villains I love is Barracuda [from Garth Ennis’ Punisher MAX series]. I think he’s great fun. I also really like O’Brien [also introduced in Ennis’ Punisher MAX run]. I thought she was always really cool. Certainly those two jump out at me initially, but there are so many great characters there. It’s a very fun sandbox to play in.”
