‘The Punisher’ Star Jon Bernthal Reacts To Eminem Blasting Netflix

Marvel’s The Punisher star Jon Bernthal has responded to Eminem to thank him for supporting the series following its cancellation by Netflix.

The Punisher has gained a rather unlikely ally in the form of Oscar-winning hip hop artist Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem. Following the show’s cancellation by Netflix, Eminem took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the streaming giant’s much-criticized decision. Now, Eminem’s comments have prompted a responsed from none other than Frank Castle himself, Jon Bernthal.

Netflix recently axed its last two Marvel series, The Punisher and Jessica Jones. With DaredevilLuke CageIron Fist and The Defenders also cancelled, Marvel’s five-year relationship with Netflix seems to have come to an end.

The third season of Jessica Jones is expected to debut this summer while fans can watch the second season of The Punisher right now. Here’s the official synopsis for The Punisher:

Former marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham). As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as “The Punisher.

The Punisher season 2 stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Deborah Ann Woll, Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, Giorgia Whigham, Corbin Bernsen, and Annette O’Toole.
