The Punisher season two is coming to Netflix later this month and it’s bringing an iconic Marvel villain along with it. The first season’s main antagonist was the character Billy Russo, an important figure from Frank Castle’s (Jon Bernthal) past. At the end of season one, Frank horribly scarred Billy and fans expected this to lead into him donning the moniker Jigsaw in the second season.
Billy Russo will be returning for season two of The Punisher although it has been revealed that he won’t be referred to as Jigsaw. That doesn’t mean that he won’t have many of the comic villain’s trademarks though, including his horrible scars. A new motion poster released on the official Twitter page for the series features Billy’s transformation into the gruesome villain in season two. Check out the awesome promo in the post below.
The Punisher season two arrives later this month but fans are already worried that it will be canceled upon its release. This is due to the recent cancellation of the Marvel Netflix series Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil. The Punisher and Jessica Jones will still be releasing their upcoming seasons but their future beyond those new seasons has yet to be announced.
