With the incredible introduction of The Punisher, many fans have agreed Jon Bernthal’s interpretation of the character is the best one yet. The character became a fan-favorite and now has two seasons on Netflix. Though the first season of The Punisher was well received by both fans and critics with a current Rotten Tomatoes score of 67% and audience score of 93%, the second season did not do as well.
The Punisher‘s season 2 is currently sitting at a “Rotten” score of 50% with 20 reviews. The second season of the show has not been received well by critics and currently sits along with the first season of Iron Fist with a “Rotten” score. Iron Fist currently has a score of 19%, making The Punisher‘s sophomore outing the second lowest of Marvel’s Netflix series.
The audience score for the second season of The Punisher on the other hand currently sits at 86%. There have been many fans expressing how the second season is great, but perhaps critics were expecting something different. With 10% away from becoming “Fresh,” fans can only wait and see if the show will gain a higher score as more reviews are added to the site.
