Rachel Crow Circling Role In ‘Bumblebee’ Spinoff Movie

The Tracking Board is reporting that actress and singer Rachel Crow is currently in-talks for a role in the upcoming Transformers spinoff film centered on Bumblebee.

Crow is known for being a contestant during the first season of the U.S. version of The X Factor, and recently appeared in the Netflix film original film Deidra & Laney Rob a Train. 

If Crow signs on for the project, she would be joining Hailee Steinfeld and Jorge Lendeborg Jr., who will be playing the film’s two young leads. Details regarding the role Crow is in talks for are currently unknown, but the site claims that it would be a key role in the film. Bumblebee has been confirmed to be a prequel which will focus on the fan favorite in the 1980s. Steinfeld stars as a tomboy that holds a job as a mechanic after school who forms a connection with the lovable fan favorite Autobot. When their lives are interrupted by evil Decepticons, the two have to figure out how to manage without Optimus Prime and the rest of the Autobots.

Bumblebee will be directed by Kubo and the Two Strings helmer Travis Knight with a script written by Christina Hodson. Franchise veteran director Michael Bay will return to produce the first-ever Transformers spinoff with Steven Spielberg and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, as well as Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis. As of this moment, the film does not yet have a release date but Paramount is targeting a release sometime during 2018.
