Ray Fisher Says The Cyborg Standalone Movie Is Still On Track For 2020…

Ray Fisher Says The Cyborg Standalone Movie Is Still On Track For 2020 Release. The actor will next be seen in this year's Justice League movie.

At the City of Heroes comic convention this past weekend, actor Ray Fisher confirmed that the the Cyborg standalone movie is still on track to be released in 2020. Fisher, who made his first appearance in the DC Extended Universe in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last year will be appearing in the first big team-up of the DCEU in this year’s Justice League.

You can check out the tweet from DC World below, which comes from the panel that Fisher was a part of. He represents with a Borg Life t-shirt.

Thankfully, the film is still scheduled and hasn’t been moved around yet. That might change, however, given the fact that there is still no director attached to the film and no other actors have been cast for the movie, but there’s still plenty of time for that.

Already The Flash movie, for example, has lost a few directors who were in line to helm the film and so there’s no guarantee that nothing will change. We can only hope that things go smoothly. Until we hear more news, though, we can enjoy Fisher’s turn as Cyborg in Justice League.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ezra Miller as  Barry Allen/The Flash, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amber Heard as Mera, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielson as Queen Hippolyta and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon.

Justice League will be in theaters on November 17, 2017.
