Ray Fisher’s Cyborg Easter Egg Spotted in Latest ‘Shazam!’ Trailer

A Justice League action figure of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg was spotted in the latest Shazam! trailer released on Monday.

After months of waiting, DC fans were finally given a new trailer for Shazam! The new trailer showed more action and Doctor Sivana, but hid the rest of the Shazam family and the Seven Deadly Sins. However, the trailer also featured some more DCEU references as well. The most notable easter egg was when Zachary Levi’s Shazam throws a Batman toy at Doctor Sivana. Ray Fisher’s Cyborg also appeared in the trailer in the form of an action figure on the shelf. You can check out the image, courtesy of the DC Cinematic subreddit, below:

It is uncertain whether Ray Fisher will return as Cyborg anytime soon. He was originally going to have a solo film, but no movement has been heard of that project. Ray Fisher was also supposed to reprise his role as Cyborg in Rick Famuyiwa’s version of The Flash movie, but that changed once the director left the project. Nonetheless, Cyborg is playing a prominent role in DC Universe’s Doom Patrol, portrayed by Jovian Wade.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Ron Cephas.

Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
