In a way it’s Cap 3 but for me it’s like my little Iron Man 4 and then it’s back to the thing we all recognize. Everything pulls over to the side of the road when the thunder of an Avengers thing comes through because that’s how it is until it changes. If it changes.
While Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will be exchanging blows in the film just as they did in the comic book series of the same name, it seems that Stark won’t be going to full villain route as he did there. From the sounds of things, this on-screen conflict might really just divide the fans of these two characters when it comes to who is right and wrong.
If we’re going to go there, then we’ve got to save it for my swan song. I would still like to keep a general audience and mildly be in their favor somehow.
While it’s a bummer that Downey seems a bit uninterested in a fourth solo outing for the character, I do hope he continues on past the two-part Avengers: Infinity War if only in a small capacity. Let us know what you think about Downey’s comments in the section below.
Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
