According to a report from Variety, Millennium Chairman and producer Avi Lerner paid no mind to a recent report from The Atlantic in which four men came forward and accused Bryan Singer of sexual relationships and inappropriate conduct. These accusations and prior ones have, as of recent, led many to question whether Bohemian Rhapsody, which lists Singer as the primary director, will still garner any award accolades in light of the accusations. But between this and Singer still being attached to Red Sonja, he seems to have suffered no major fallout.
Now Bryan Singer had been attached to Red Sonja as of last year after his work on Bohemian Rhapsody, but since then, there has been no news on the film’s development as of recent. However, with Millenium standing firmly behind Singer, as well as Singer himself denouncing the accusations, it seems that, at the very least, the film will still have a director.
Ultimately, though, what do you think of these accusations towards Bryan Singer? At this point, do you feel he should still be the one to direct Red Sonja or should someone else step into the director’s chair? More than that, when do you think that we will receive more news about the film itself? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Stay tuned for any and all developments on the upcoming Red Sonja film, to be directed by Bryan Singer.
