According to a report from Making Star Wars.net, the delay in the upcoming films is due to the construction of a new studio. Historically the Star Wars films have been shot in Pinewood Studios in London but this will apparently be changing. The films had apparently been sharing space with the various films of Marvel Studios but now, it seems Marvel will be having the studio all to itself.
According to the report a new studio will be constructed in the suburbs of London. In addition, the studio has apparently been made so that the people making Star Wars don’t feel rushed to complete their projects. Once the studio is complete the David Benioff and D.B. Weiss Star Wars films will reportedly be the first to film at the new location.
What do you all make of this news? Does it surprise you that Disney may be making a new studio for Star Wars related content? Does this have more to do with the film’s delays then the box office disappointments of Solo: A Star Wars Story? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
