‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’: Rian Johnson Shares A Look Inside Edit Bay

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has been periodically updating us through social media with photos he has taken during the production of Episode VIII. Today, he gave us all a peek inside the edit bay at Skywalker Sound where it looks like a real Star Wars space battle is beginning to shape up.

The black-and-white picture director Rian Johnson posted on Instagram features a huge explosion in what appears to be a space battle. You can check it out below:

This shot could be from the scene we saw featured in the teaser trailer released at Star Wars Celebration. As you may recall, the trailer featured a glimpse at a battle between the Resistance fleet and the First Order TIE fighters.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, The Last Jedi stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran and Benicio del Toro.
