Here’s What ‘American Gods’ Star Ricky Whittle Looks Like As Green Lantern

American Gods star Ricky Whittle is one of the most popular picks to play the DC Extended Universe’s Green Lantern and now people can see what he could look like as the iconic superhero thanks to BossLogic.

Fans of Starz’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods and The CW’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama The 100 have long wanted to see Ricky Whittle as a superhero but the actor has not yet played one. However, Whittle recently revealed that he’d love to portray John Stewart or Simon Baz in the Green Lantern Corps movie that is currently in development at Warner Brothers.

Green Lantern Corps is being written by former DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns but the project is still years away from reaching the big screen. In a piece created by digital artist BossLogic, Ricky Whittle dons the Green Lantern suit and he looks absolutely incredible. You can see the American Gods star as Green Lantern below.

What do you think of this fan-art piece of American Gods star Ricky Whittle as Green Lantern? Would rather see someone else other than Ricky Whittle? Sound-off your thoughts in the comments!

The long-in-development Green Lantern Corps is rumored to be a buddy-cop movie with an older, experienced Hal Jordan training the young recruit John Stewart in the ways of the Green Lantern Corps. Ricky Whittle is just one of many actors to have thrown his hat in the ring to play the character which also includes Common, Trevante Rhodes, Sterling K. Brown and of course Tyrese Gibson.

Green Lantern Corps is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. The list also includes The Suicide Squad, The Batman, The Flash, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Nightwing, Supergirl and New Gods.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Green Lantern Corps and the future of the DC Extended Universe.
