Avengers: Endgame finally arrives to theaters in April and some fans are expecting this to be Robert Downey Jr.’s final outing as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. The actor debuted as the character in the MCU’s first film, 2008’s Iron Man. Now, fans fear that the upcoming follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War will be the final adventure for Tony Stark in the MCU, who barely made it out of the 2018 MCU event film alive.
A new fan theory from Reddit gives Robert Downey Jr. a very fitting new role in the MCU going forward. If the actor were to leave the physical role of the Marvel hero, it seems that he could return as just his voice in a very intriguing way. Check out the awesome fan theory in the post below.
Robert Downey Jr. would be a perfect new A.I. for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man not just because of their relationship but also because he’d be picking the mantle from another Marvel alumni. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, the titular hero’s suit was voiced by Jennifer Connelly, who starred as Betty Ross in 2003’s Hulk.
