This Video Of Robert Pattinson Trying To Keep ‘The Batman’ Secrets Is Hilarious

The Batman star Robert Pattinson has a lot of secrets to keep but sometimes, attempts to extract those secrets are just too funny.

Take, for instance, a clip from recent Variety interview that’s making the rounds. The interviewer is clearly seeking to get The Batman secrets out of Robert Pattinson, but he’s not really having it — he obviously cannot say a word about the Matt Reeves-directed superhero movie, and he’s trying his hardest not to spill any details on the first Batman standalone film since 2012. A memorable quote happens while Robert Pattinson is laughing, as he says:

“I’ve got people everywhere saying ‘Don’t say anything about anything!'”

Check out the clip of The Batman star Robert Pattison struggling to keep it together below:

Robert Pattinson’s level of secrecy is unsurprising for a project at this stage in development. He is expected to take the lead in one of the biggest movie franchises ever and spilling everything on his first gig is probably not a good look, so he’s probably right to keep quiet.

Details for the Robert Pattinson-led Batman project are being kept under lock and key. Previous rumors once pointed to an earlier version of the script featuring Ben Affleck bookending the film as his current Batman while the film introduced Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader in his earlier years. But with Ben Affleck officially retired from the role, Robert Pattinson is replacing the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League star as Batman.

We know that The Batman will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. Director Matt Reeves has also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s acclaimed Year One comic and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new movie trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern CorpsBlack AdamThe Suicide SquadSupergirlNew Gods, and Birds of Prey.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Robert Pattinson and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
