Ever since it was officially announced Ben Affleck would be departing the Batman role, some fan-casting across the internet have been inspired and some crazy. Warner Bros. and Matt Reeves are reportedly looking for a younger actor for the role and many fans have brought up Robert Pattinson. Of course, Robert Pattinson is no stranger to big tentpole franchises, having appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the Twilight Saga. While Robert Pattinson is 32 years old, he has distanced himself from his other franchise roles in recent years.

Details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger caped crusader and includes multiple villains. Matt Reeves also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic, but will make full use of the dark knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous films.
Matt Reeves’ film is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC Films, including The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Batgirl, Supergirl, New Gods, Blue Beetle, and The Trench.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
