Production on 'The Batman' will continue until at least February next year.
As production continues on Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, one of his co-stars Colin Farrell revealed the film will shoot all the way into 2021 following both the recent delay on-set as well as the delayed release date. A slew of photos from the film’s U.K. and Chicago sets have given fans a glimpse into the world being created by Matt Reeves, including references to other notable Batman villains, Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow.
Penguin actor Colin Farrell recently spoke to The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show about returning to production following the delay caused by the worldwide pandemic. Farrell explained that although there was a little bump on the way (after Robert Pattinson supposedly tested positive for covid-19) he’ll be shooting The Batman up until February 2021. Hopefully we get to see more from the star in action on set soon.
“They had a little bump in the road a few weeks ago that you may or may not have read about. They are back shooting now. I start up again after a 7 month break on Monday. I shoot until February on and off.”

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson’s young Dark Knight and Penguin star Colin Farrell and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
