See Robert Pattinson Don Adam West-Inspired Batsuit For ‘The Batman’

Holy purple cape Batman!

A cool new concept design shows The Batman star Robert Pattinson with an Adam West-inspired Batsuit.

While audiences in the 1960s never saw Adam West’s Batman ruthlessly beating goons up in the rain and proclaiming that he’s “vengeance,” this fan edit gives Robert Pattinson a colorful redesign ahead of The Batman, taking its cues from the light-hearted TV series fondly remembered by many. The highly-anticipated DC Comics film from Matt Reeves recently resumed production after Pattinson reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus, causing yet another upheaval to filming the Caped Crusader’s next movie.

The combination of Robert Pattinson and Adam West’s costume comes from digital artist ‘houseofmat’ on Instagram and although it doesn’t throw out the stunning tactical suit from the upcoming film, the painted on eyebrows definitely give him a light-hearted appearance. The cape and cowl are now a dark purple, while the suit underneath the armor is also purple. Obviously, the most notable addition is the classic yellow and black chest symbol. It’s definitely a cheerier design than the moody promo art which recently debuted after the DC FanDome event. Take a look below.

What do you make of the design inspired by Adam West’s Batman? What do you want to see from Robert Pattinson’s The Batman? Are you excited for the Matt Reeves film? Let us know in the comments!

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman arrives in theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson and the Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
