Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ Adds Jayme Lawson In Key Role

Juilliard graduate Jayme Lawson has been cast in a key role for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman cast is shaping up to be something great. On the heels of announcing that Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis are in talks to join the already star-studded cast, Collider has revealed that Robert Pattinson can expect another new cast member. According to Collider, Jayme Lawson has been cast in a “notable” role for The Batman.

While it is currently under wraps who Jayme Lawson will be playing, it’s safe to assume that it’s a big role to be kept this much of a secret. If I had to take a guess, I’d say Jayme Lawson could be playing Barbara Gordon with Commissioner Gordon also being played by a person of color. The actress is fresh out of Juilliard and doesn’t even have an IMDb page, so landing this role will definitely boost her career.

Full plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and Paul Dano as the Riddler.
