Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ Gets An Official Working Title

With filming on Robert Pattinson’s The Batman set to begin next month, the film’s official working title has been revealed.

While fans still have over a year to see Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, the working title for the highly-anticipated film has been revealed thanks to Production Weekly, and it has a surprisingly on-the-nose reference to the Dark Knight. While there’s been a recent flurry of announcements about the next Batman film, director Matt Reeves recently said that he’d be bringing The Batman to Brazil’s CCXP in 2020, which will hopefully give fans a look Robert Pattinson as the titular character.

Since Matt Reeves is gearing up for production on The Batman, the film’s working title has been revealed by Production Weekly. According to the publication, the working title for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman is “Vengeance.” Αnyone familiar with Bruce Wayne will instantly recognize the working title as a reference to why Batman starts his crusade against crime in the first place: to get vengeance for the death of his parents at Crime Alley.

What do you think of the working title for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman? What do you want to see from the new version of the caped crusader? Sound-off in the comments!

Full plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the character’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jayme Lawson as Bella, and Peter Sarsgaard as Wasserman. Recently, Colin Farrell was reportedly in talks to play the Penguin.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Robert Pattinson movie.
