Rocket Raccoon Wears Classic Blue & Red Suit In ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Spot

Among the many things revealed in the quick Super Bowl spot for Avengers: Endgame, you may have briefly noticed a nod to comic book lore with Rocket Raccoon’s outfit in one scene.

One Eagle-eyed Twitter user shared two images yesterday that showcased a side-by-side comparison of Rocket Raccoon. In one image, we have the screenshot of Rocket in Avengers: Endgame. In the second, it’s a photo of his comic book counterpart, with the user noting that Rocket’s outfit in Endgame matches what he wore in the comic books, down to the red and blue color scheme. Here, have a look at the side-by-side comparison for yourself and be the judge.

Now could this be present-day or a flashback? After all, we’ve heard for some time that Avengers: Endgame will involve some form of time travel. How else do you revive everyone snapped out of existence in Infinity War? But what do you think about the significance of Rocket Raccoon having an outfit similar to his comic book counterpart? If this is indeed the present setting, would you want to see him continue to don this outfit in other films? Or perhaps, like most of Marvel’s heroes, he’ll change costumes in between movies.

After all, we’ve seen Captain America bring back the Stealth Suit from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and his outfits change in just about every movie. So if that suit could make the jump from one movie to a future one, who is to say that Rocket Raccoon couldn’t wear this outfit beyond Avengers: Endgame? Assuming he survives through the events of Endgame, anyway. Let us know your thoughts  on this in the comments below and stay tuned for more Endgame news.

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
