Michael Giacchino, who most recently scored the music for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will also score the sequel to Jurassic World.
Music is just as important to a film as the characters and story are. Imagine watching a movie without any background story. It would certainly have less of an impact. Giacchino has been pretty busy and his work is nowhere near done. Aside from composing for Jurassic World 2, Giacchino will be working on scoring the Spider-Man: Homecoming movie.
For Rogue One, the composer did a solid job with the film’s music and there probably a lot of pressure to deliver because, in the past, it has been composer John Williams who has scored the Star Wars films. Rogue One marks the first time another composer has scored the film.
Giacchino is on a roll though and has composed music for the upcoming War for the Planet of the Apes and Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles 2. In the past, he has also worked on J.J. Abrams’ TV series, Lost.
Jurassic World 2 will be directed J.A. Bayona and will star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
