‘Rogue One’ Featurette Discusses Saw Gerrera’s Inclusion

With Rogue One hitting home video on April 4th, a teaser for an upcoming featurette has been released which showcases Saw Gerrera and his origins.

For hardcore Clone Wars fans, they were surprised to see Saw Gerrera, a previously introduced character in Rogue One. His inclusion in the film’s narrative added further legitimacy to the franchise by blurring the lines between mediums. With Rogue One hitting home media on April 4th, LucasFilm has put out a teaser for a featurette that will focus on Saw Gerrera and Bodhi Rook. The teaser mostly focuses on Saw and his inclusion in the story. You can check out the teaser below:

First created by George Lucas, Saw Gerrera was seen in Clone Wars as a rebellious guerilla war-fighter who was trained along with his sister by Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan, and Clone trooper Rex. Branded as a terrorist for his use of violence and viewpoints, he sought out refuge on Jeddah where he was later discovered by Jyn Erso. He is also on Star Wars Rebels, where he is voiced by Forest Whitaker, the actor who played him in Rogue One.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, and Forest Whitaker.

Rogue One hits home media on April 4th and is currently on Digital HD.
