Valdivia took to Twitter to share his finding, revealing that Gareth Edwards plays a small but important role in Rogue One. Edwards plays the rebel soldier who disengages the Tantive IV from Admiral Raddus’ ship following Darth Vader’s rampage, allowing Princess Leia and company to flee with the Death Star plans.
What do you think of Gareth Edwards giving himself a reasonably important cameo in the film? Without Edwards’ character, Vader would have retrieved the stolen plans and the rest of the Star Wars saga ceases to exist. Is this news to you, or had you already spotted Edwards before?
