Ron Perlman Has “No Comment” On ‘Hellboy’ Reboot Trailer

Former Hellboy actor Ron Perlman posted a meme on his Instagram account echoing social media’s reaction to David Harbour’s Hellboy. The meme features a caption saying “when you see the trailer for the new Hellboy movie” and Steve Carell’s Brick Tamland from 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy when he dumbfoundedly saying “You’re not Ron”. The actor also writes that he “would never be so ungentlemanly as to comment” on this so he just says “NO COMMENT!”. Ron Perlman has been very public about his interest in reprising the role of Hellboy on various occasions. Nonetheless, Dark Horse Entertainment and Legendary seemed to think that a reboot of the series would be a better option and ultimately cast Stranger Things actor David Harbour in the titular role.

The Ron Perlman and Guillermo Del Toro version of Hellboy was adored by fans, signaling that this reboot would have a tough road ahead to get them on board. Many people thought it would make amends and actually be a great movie. However, the first trailer dropped in December and fans were luke  warm as the reaction to it was fairly mixed.
