Ahsoka Tano Voice Actor Comments On Rosario Dawson Casting For ‘The Mandalorian’

Original Ahsoka Tano voice actor Ashley Eckstein responded to the recent reports of Rosario Dawson bringing the beloved character to live-action in The Mandalorian season two.

Ahsoka Tano has become one of the most beloved characters in Star Wars over the years because of her growth in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and her appearance in Star Wars Rebels. There have been a few animated Star Wars characters who have made the jump to live-action like Saw Gerrera, but many fans have been holding out hope for Ahsoka Tano to do the same at some point.

According to recent reports from last week, it appears that Ahsoka Tano will finally appear in live-action for The Mandalorian season two. Prior to the news, there’s been debate among fans on who should bring Ahsoka Tano to life. While Rosario Dawson is reportedly playing her in The Mandalorian, some feel original voice actor Ashley Eckstein should be the one to play her in live-action. On a recent Instagram post, Ashley Eckstein addressed those reports of Rosario Dawson playing a live-action Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian season two:

Do you think Ashley Eckstein should be the one to play Ahsoka Tano in live-action? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The Star Wars series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.

The Mandalorian season one is now available exclusively on Disney Plus.
