‘Birds of Prey’ Set Photos Reveal New Look At Rosie Perez As Renee Montoya

New photos have from the Birds of Prey set surfaced online, revealing a new look at Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya.

After Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was praised by both fans and critics it was only a matter of time for Warner Bros. to greenlight another film with the iconic character. Birds of Prey will revolve around Harley Quinn, Huntress, Black Canary and the team will be joined by Renee Montoya, who will be portrayed by Rosie Perez. Many photos from the Birds of Prey film set have showcased the iconic villains, but now fans can get a better glimpse of Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya in these new set photos.

Much like her co-star character Harley Quinn, Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya was originally created for Batman: The Animated Series. This will not be the first live-action interpretation of Renee Montoya as she also made an appearance in Gotham portrayed by Victoria Cartagena. Birds of Prey will feature Rosie Perez as the popular Gotham City Police detective along many other popular DC characters in a brand new adventure involving Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. With a stellar cast including the likes of Margot Robbie, Rosie Perez, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Jurnee Smollet-Bell, Birds of Prey may be another hit for Warner Bros. and DC.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, and Michael Masini have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
