A new rumor claims that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will introduce an obscure Marvel comic book character known as Ego the Living Planet.

Well, if this current rumor is indeed true, it definitely falls into the unexpected category. Geek.com is reporting that the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to feature a very obscure Marvel character. According to the site, Ego the Living Planet will be something that will be giving the Guardians of the Galaxy a hard time in the upcoming Marvel Studios sequel by James Gunn.

Keep in mind that this is just a rumor at the moment but if true, it looks like Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 might dive even further into the weird and cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe than some might expect. But just how will they fit the character into the film? Will he have ties to Thanos much like his comic book counterpart? Let us know what you think about this rumor and the possible routes it could take the film in the comments section below, and make sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more news.
