The Russo Brothers talked about the upcoming 'Infinity War' film, Captain Marvel, as well as the possibility of using Marvel's Netflix characters.
With the news that actress Brie Larson has been cast as Captain Marvel, they are eagerly excited about possibly working with her.
“It’s an incredible piece of casting. You couldn’t ask for better, Not only is she an amazingly talented actor but she’s a wonderful human being. We’re really looking forward to the opportunity of re-teaming with her…”
Many have asked previously if characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the Netflix MCU shows would appear in Infinity War, it was previously said that it would be very difficult putting characters from the TV side of the MCU into the film. A great deal of coordination is needed and with TV shows and films set up and produced at different time frames, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up of seeing Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, or Iron Fist to appear in the upcoming film. However with actor Chris Pratt stating he would love for Star-Lord to team up with The Punisher, maybe there’s some hope. The Russo Brothers had this to say related to the Netflix characters.
“We do consider everyone. We don’t want to get too specific about what’s going to happen with these movies. We want these movies to be a surprise for audiences.”
Whether or not they decide to involve the Netflix characters, the Russo Brothers plan on continuing the extremely hard juggling act they did in Captain America: Civil War where they ensure that each character a good amount of screen time as well as character development.
“What we did in Civil War is exactly what we want to do in the Avengers — no matter how much screen time a character has, you can still have a lot of ambition for what you do with that character while you have them.
