Well, looks like we can definitely confirm two and one of them popping up might just get you “hooked on a feeling”. While speaking with ComicBook.com, the co-directors of the film were asked about what characters they are looking forwards to working with that they’ve yet to in the two-part epic. Anthony Russo had the following to say in response.
The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done. [Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited.
Co-director Joe Russo commented on another character that he’s excited about. This particular reasoning coming from him knowing some details about Thor: Ragnarok.
I’m excited to work with Thor. They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.
While it had been long assumed that these characters would be in the films, it’s nice to get some confirmation that we’ll finally be seeing the Guardians Of The Galaxy cross paths with The Avengers. Sound off with your thoughts on this news in the comments section below.
