Ryan Coogler isn't just working on a Wakanda series...
On Monday, it was announced that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will expand the Kingdom of Wakanda with a Disney Plus series. This all comes as Coogler signed a five-year deal with Disney TV under his Proximity Media banner. The Marvel press release also teases the Wakanda series will not be the only thing Coogler will develop for Disney Plus.
Ryan Coogler is not only working on the Wakanda series, but he will also return to helm Black Panther 2 without Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa. In addition to those two projects, Coogler also mentioned that he’s working on other Marvel Studios shows for Disney Plus that will be revealed in the future:
“We are especially excited that we will be taking our first leap with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and their partners at Marvel Studios where we will be working closely with them on select MCU shows for Disney+. We’re already in the mix on some projects that we can’t wait to share.”
