Daniel Downing is a five-year-old English child who recently learned that he had an inoperable brain tumor shortly after getting an optical check-up for some new glasses. While Downing has been given months to live, his parents have done everything they can to make sure that his last days are happy ones, and as such they got into contact with Reynolds to lift his spirits. What started off as a phone call between Downing and Reynolds quickly evolved into an improvised, fifteen-minute set tour of Deadpool 2. The family filmed Downing’s reaction to this news before cutting away from the tour.
It’s really something special that Reynolds is able to do this for someone who has been told that the unthinkable is about to happen to them, especially a child. And perhaps it’s not a coincidence that the boy loves Deadpool so much, since the hero got his own superpowers while undergoing an experimental treatment for cancer. We wish the best for Downing and his family as they face this terrible challenge.
Deadpool 2 Its cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson (Deadpool), Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, T. J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Piotr Rasputin (Colossus), Zazie Beetz as Neena Thurman (Domino), Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers (Cable), and Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy.
