On the official Twitter for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, a tweet was sent out wishing the Canadian actor a happy birthday with a message based on his heavily-reviled Green Lantern movie.
You can check out the tweet down below:
Reynolds has been extremely vocal about his dislike of Green Lantern. So much so, he has referenced it in both Deadpool movies – including a mid-credits scene in which Deadpool travels back in time to assassinate Reynolds as he holds the script for Green Lantern in his hands.
It’s always fun to see that even after all the fallout from that 2011 film, Warner Bros. and Reynolds still have a sense of humor about it all.
Directed by David Leitch from a script written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
Deadpool 2 is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
