Saban’s ‘Power Rangers’ Movie Logo Revealed

The movie logo (h/t via comicbook) for the upcoming Power Rangers movie from Lionsgate was just revealed at this year’s Cinemacon.

The Power Rangers movie is being directed by Dean Israelite, the director behind the 2015 found footage sci-fi flick Project Almanac. Its cast includes Dacre Montgomery, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, and Elizabeth Banks.

John Gatins, Burk Sharplessand Matt Sazama, Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, and Max Landis worked on the script. Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are on board as producers.

Here is the synopsis for the movie:

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
