Sam Raimi Opens Up About That Surprising ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Cameo

Original Spider-Man director Sam Raimi opened up about that surprising cameo in the Far From Home mid-credits scene.

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy set the bar for comic book movies when they came out years ago and paved the way for the MCU. The trilogy also remains widely celebrated on the internet today. One of the best castings to come out of Sam Raimi’s films was J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. His casting is so highly regarded that he actually reprised his role in Spider-Man: Far From Home during the mid-credits scene. With fans freaking out across the internet, Entertainment Tonight asked Sam Raimi about that surprising J. Jonah Jameson cameo:

“J.K. (Simmons) called me and said: ‘Hey, they’re talking me about reprising my role. What do you think?’ and I said: ‘With all my greatest blessings,’ because I love Spider-Man, I love J.K. and I want to see more of them.”
