Sam Rockwell Interested In Reprising Justin Hammer Role For Marvel

After being introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2010’s Iron Man 2, the last time we saw Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer was roughly four years ago when the character made a brief appearance in the 2014 short Marvel One-Shot: All Hail The King. Since then, the weapons manufacturer has been mentioned briefly in both the Iron Man 3 prelude and in the Netflix series Luke Cage. However, there’s been no word about former CEO Justin Hammer since we last saw him.

But that doesn’t mean that Sam Rockwell isn’t ruling out the possibility of a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Rockwell commented on potentially reprising the Justin Hammer role and it appears he wants to bring another Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran back to the big screen with him.

“Of course! I have some great buddies in that franchise. Jeremy Renner is a good friend of mine, and I am pals with Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo. Robert [Downey Jr.] is always fun. Would love to get me and Clark [Gregg] back in that franchise. That would be a lot of fun.”

While we have no idea what is in store for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the fourth Avengers film, I’d gladly welcome Rockwell back as Justin Hammer on either the big or small screen. While it currently seems unlikely that we’re going to see a fourth Iron Man film, there’s plenty of other places for Justin Hammer to pop up.
