Samuel L. Jackson Reveals The ‘Captain Marvel’ Spoiler He Lied About

Samuel L. Jackson recently appeared on an interview along with his co-stars and revealed the Captain Marvel spoiler he lied about.

Fans had recently become confused and theories were making rounds when Samuel L. Jackson revealed what appeared to be a big spoiler for Captain Marvel. Now the star appeared on an interview to confirm that what he had said previously is not true. Samuel L. Jackson had previously revealed that Captain Marvel has a variety of abilities including time travel. Well, apparently that last bit is not true.

It is difficult for stars to avoid revealing spoilers especially for secretive films that are interconnected to a much bigger universe. This led Samuel L. Jackson to lie about Captain Marvel having the ability to time travel to create smoke for the film and the character. This perhaps worked in some way as some fans were led away by this one detail creating theories about how this would fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans won’t have to worry anymore about what is and what isn’t real after this week when Captain Marvel hits theaters.

What do you think of Samuel L. Jackson’s lie? Did it stray you away from other details? Are you looking forward to seeing Nick Fury return to the big screen? Share your thoughts below!

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

Captain Marvel will be released in theaters on March 8, 2019.
