Samuel L. Jackson Wants To Keep Playing Nick Fury For A Long Time

Samuel L. Jackson has so far appeared as Nick Fury in nine Marvel movies and says he has no plans of stopping.

The Marvel movie star is one of the most profitable actors in Hollywood. Samuel L. Jackson has brought in $13 billion at the box office. A lot of that money he owes to starring in the Marvel Studios movies. Jackson has appeared in and out of the franchise since the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with the post-credits scene in Iron Man and then following that up as one of the main supporting players in Iron Man 2. Since then, he has become a staple as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Jackson stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that despite his contract for the movies being over, he can still see himself as Nick Fury well into his 80s.

I could be the Alec Guiness of Marvel movies.

Jackson has been a powerhouse in the movie industry for years, starring in classics such as Pulp Fiction, Unbreakable and the soon-to-be released Glass. Despite his age, he shows no signs of slowing down as an actor, constantly taking on new roles and showing enthusiasm for the future of his career. Whatever direction the MCU decides to take, Jackson will be ready to take on the character again and again. Until then, Nick Fury will return in Captain Marvel.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

Captain Marvel will be released in theaters on March 8, 2019.
